Realised that aahhh-CHEW!!! hasn't had any agar-agar or pudding during this Chinese New Year ...
Remembered reading this famous pudding that almost every chef or chef-wannabe had featured in their food blogs ...
Made a quick detour to our good old neighbourhood convenient store ... nope, not 7-11 ... now it's KK Convenience Store ... they are now everywhere with hypermarket pricing ...
Got the ingredients needed and it was "Operasi Puding" at home ... ahahahaha ...
And the result ... after a few hours of cooking and freezing it in the icebox ... is ...

... VOILA!!! ... Lychee Pudding ...

... dessert for tonight ... as Julia Child would say ... "haaaaaah, real diet food" ... ahahaha ...

... so easy to make that any aahhh-CHEW!!! could make it ... ahahaha ...

... and it's mighty good too, if I say so meself ... seconded by me mother ... ahahaha ...

... don't believe ahhhhhh??? ... here, have a bowl ... on the house ... ahahahaha ...
And below is the recipe ...
Ingredients ...
One pack of 10gm agar-agar powder
1.25 liter of water (5 metric cups)
8 tablespoons of caster sugar (3/4 metric cup)
1 can of 400 ml evaporated milk
1 can of lychee, roughly pulse with 250ml (1 metric cup) of its syrup
1 can of lychee for decoration
Steps ...
1. Boil sugar and agar-agar powder in water, stir until the agar-agar powder is dissolved and water is boiled.
2. Remove from the stove and stir in the pulsed lychee in syrup and evaporated milk.
3. Pour the mixture into your favourite container.
4. Once cooled to room temperature, store in the refrigerator for at least one hour or until the puding is ready.
5. Remove from the container and decorate with lychee and eat with the lychee syrup.
